Azur Bio Science
Azur Bio Science, the first bio-technology company totally dedicated to the creation of solutions for the decarbonization of fossil fuels, is built around a multidisciplinary team of researchers. Our aim is to support today’s various industries on the road to a reasoned and efficient energy transition, through the creation of specific, 100% plant-based technological additives, to preserve our world, while awaiting the advent of tomorrow’s energy solutions.
Origins
Atmospheric pollution caused by the combustion of fossil fuels is one of the major problems facing humanity today. It will still be several years before we can develop engines that are truly clean in terms of operation, but above all, that consume a minimum of mining resources.
And it will be several decades before they become widespread and all combustion engines are replaced.
It is therefore vital and urgent to find ways of decarbonizing fossil fuels today.
This led to the creation of Azur Bio Science, following a scientific partnership with researchers at the Université Côte d’Azur and its ICN (Institut de Chimie de Nice) research laboratory associated with the CNRS (Centre National de Recherche Scientifique).
Université Côte d’Azur, in conjunction with CNRS, CEA and foreign universities, organizes its research activities around a number of structures in all major scientific fields, through 43 research units and numerous national and international research groupings.
Specialized in plant chemistry and, in particular, in the study of Bioactive Molecules, ICN also includes a Technology Platform, comprising three shared services (NMR, mass spectrometry and molecular modeling).
